my husband has cheated on me in the past . i divorced him over that affair. four years later we got back together, that was 13 years ago. he sometimes works away from home . if it is over 150 miles ,they stay in a motel. he is gone two weeks at a time. i even went to the motel and stayed two nights this past week.he calls home every night.tells me he loves me . he came home yesterday and i was hanging up his jacket, i found a condom. i haven’t told him i found it yet.but it hurts to think ,if he isn’t cheating ,he’s was hoping too. what should i do ?we are both 50 now. i thought he had stopped being a liar and a cheater

I am so sorry! I think you deserve better than that. I hate to say it but once a cheater always a cheater. Just because you are 50 does not mean you can’t find happiness with someone who loves and respects you! Dump the loser and go find someone who deserves you! Good luck!

If he has cheated on you in the past, it’s a safe bet he is cheating on you now. If you found one condom in his jacket pocket, then he was thinking of cheating on you or had already done the deed and the one you found was left over.
If you and him do not use condoms there is no reason he should have one in his jacket pocket. I would have shown him the condom right then and there.

I once found a condom in my ex husbands wallet, I didn’t think much about it, maybe I was in denial and about a year later he left me for the other woman i never knew existed. Of course he is cheating or will cheat if given the chance. you should confront him right away about what you found.
