ha. i’m 5 months post partum and i am depressed. nothing new. it happens to the best of us. our hormones are raging and our bodies are rearranged, what would life expect? exercise, eat right, and talk to someone. not your husband. try a therapist, a friend, mother, yahoo answers, etc. after you can vent and maybe perhaps see another side to this thing called ppd, then maybe you can have that healthy relationship with your husband.
YES YES YES girl get to your doctor asap and tell her/him the same thing. I wish you all the best…
It does sound like some sort of depression. You don’t have to have the whole list to be depressed. Our bodies go through a lot having a baby. People put demands on us and low self esteem from not having the same body we went into the pregnancy afterwards can really mess one’s brain up.
Hope you can take some time for you and start working on building back your self esteem. Your body will come back it just takes time. And as far as your husband goes you can’t MAKE someone love you. Cut him some slack. If he really was cheating then you deal with the consequences but for now you need to celebrate your new child and become a family. Don’t react take time to tell your spouse how you feel. They are not mind readers.
I lost my husband to midlife crisis. I wish we would have talked and told each other how we felt. Good luck.
Do something that makes you feel good or happy. Take a shower ( bring the baby in the bathroom in a little seat or baby swing). Put the baby in the stroller and walk OUTSIDE. Go to the coffee shop. Next time, try to go out by yourself for an hour without the baby. It does wonders. Tell your husband your feeling down so that he doesn’t back away!
