For those who have had chlamydia…?
How long did it take to clear up? And before u criticize, I got it from my cheating husband of 6 yrs. Last week I went into the DR. and was told I have chlamydia. He gave me 1 dosage (2 pills) of Xithromax and told me to come back in one month. The discharge doesnt seem to be clearing up at all. And I dont know if body ache and fatigue + stomach cramping and constipation are symptoms, but these are new. Imade a new appt for Monday to get tested for any additional stds. But by what Ive told u all, do u think Im just being impatient, it takes a while to clear up, or do u all think I may have something else as well? Thank u so much for the answers.

If you don’t feel any better a FULL week after taking the azithromax pills, and your symptoms (discharge, especially) have not disappeared. Let your doctor know and get in sooner (than the recommended 1 month post checkup). Your doctor should have given you a complete screening at your initial appointment so that you would know (right away) what you needed to be treated for.
Ok, there is nothing to be criticizing about if nobody has gone thru this they need to keep there mouth shut. I’m 26 years old and I had chlamydia when I was 15 after I had my daughter. When I went to the Dr. they gave me this nasty a** medicine that taste like super sweet sprite mixed with medicine in it not sure what is the name. I took that medicine at the Dr. and they told me that it would take about a week to go away 2 to be on the safe side. And u can’t have no sex for about a whole week till u r cured and he needs to get checked before he gaves it back to u again. Hope u get better.
Females should be on medication for about a whole week. For a male, it takes only one pill to get cured; however, he needs to wait a couple of weeks, so he can be fully cured. For a girl, she needs to be on medicine for a week and not have sex for a couple of weeks. I recommend that you go see a doctor and have a full STD check. Me being a male and from my personal experience, I guarantee that he will keep cheating on you. It’s not worth being with someone like that.

Has your rotten, cheating, lying scum dog of a husband been treated as well? He should be treated or tested so the infection is not passed back and forth–if you chose to let him get anywhere near you again.
Be retested if your symptoms continue or you think you have been reinfected. Having the infection once doesn’t mean you’ll never get it again.
