Could I have had clymidia and other STD's for over 5 yrs and no symptoms until now?
I have clymidia so does my hubby since I made him get tested after I was informed 3 wks ago upon my visit to the Dr for another infection. I had sex w 1 other man beside my hubby. it’s been 5 years! My husband swears he’s been faithful but I do’t want to tell him about my college fling ! I’m so scared! I’ve never had symptoms but my hubby has never mentioned any symtoms either??? Could this be a new infection for us both (he cheat?) I’m now noticing the mucis like discharge assoc w clymidia but very lite I could of overlooked? I guess i’l looking for closer was it me was it him kind of thing! I wish I never slept w this guy 5 years ago b/c then I would definetly no it wasn’t me that infected us! Ive only slept w 2 people & im 30. Now on top of all this I found out I had clymidia after I requested a std test b/c I had my first Herpe outbreak and wanted to die I never had any symtoms of this either until now this caused me to get tested for other stuff and booom!!!….I just found out i have 2 sTD’s but i’m so confused b/c i’ve never recalled any symptoms & for me to start developing them 5 yrs later is this normal??? My Dr says very indirectly this looks like a new infection of G-Herpes b/c of the symptoms associated but reading on line material primary outbreaks can happen years later??? But is 5 yrs normal or should I suspect my husband has been unfaithful! I just want some feedack so i can figure myself out! Has any1 else been infected and no symtoms until years 5+ later.

Yes, it is possible to have STDs and not be symptomatic, especially for a woman. Don’t suspect your husband, but do insist he be checked–you may have infected him. Rather than suspect him, simply ask him flat out. "Have you ever been unfaithful to me?" and judge his answer for yourself…but don’t sit around wondering.
You could have infected anyone you have been with since being infected yourself.

usually with stds like clymidia u wont notice signs until way later. and it can make u infertile when left untreated after a long period of time. and it can also weaken ur immune system and it makes it easier for u to get other STDS im sorry to hear all this. im not gonna tell u that hes cheating because i dont know. id just keep an eye open. if hes a faithful man then he wont. just get treated for this and mebe sit him down and try to talk about it. thats all i can tell u.
While anything is possible its more rare for both diseases to hold back for 5 years and the chances of you both breaking out around the same time 5 years later? Not likely. Its time to pry further with the hubby.
I know 3 people who have genital herpes…all of them had almost immediate outbreaks (within 1-5 days of sexual intercourse). How did your husband react when you told him you had 2 STD’s? I know I would more than likely react angrily if I was a faithful spouse? My aunt has herpes…she got it from her husband….she went to the dr. because she had an outbreak (she wasn’t really aware of exactly what she was dealing with). She immediately told her husband she had herpes. She was very scared to tell him because she thought he would accuse her of cheating (which she never did). He kissed her on the cheek and basically blew it off like it was no big deal. She very soon discovered he was cheating on her. I hate to say it, but I think you need to really take a deep look at your marriage to make sure your husband is telling the truth. Maybe the chlamydia could not pop up for 5 years, but I just don’t know anyone who hasn’t had immediate outbreaks after getting herpes. Good luck girl.
