Pregnant on Mirena IUD?
ok , to start I have had the Mirena for 2 years , recently I found out my husband was cheating on me and we were trying to work things out . Then he left again , I just kept having these weird symptoms , sore breast , tired , throwing up …had it all. I kept thinking im pregnant , but I was so scared to test because of the current situation. Well I was at work and someone had mentioned they have a feeling someone is pregnant!!! so right after work I went to the store and got a pregnancy test. I took it as soon as I walked in the door and sure enough PREGNANT! I called my husband right away and he was upset , because see he was living with his mistress!
Well next day I went to the hospital to have the mirena removed , I was lucky the doctor did it for me because I have no health insurance or $$ to go to ob right now.
I found out I am about 4-5 weeks and the baby is in the right spot , but I am scared I will lose it.
My husband came back by the way and claims he wants to make this work however he still has feelings for other girl (call her a girl because she is 18 he is 30! )
Me and him already have 2 children together ! so not only am I scared because the IUD but also I am under so much stress!
I dont know what to do , but is everything going to be ok with the baby? or is there is possibility of a miscarriage still ????

I mean it is a miracle I am pregnant right? The mirena is 1 of the best birth control out there , and how weird that I get pregnant right when all this is happening! God has a plan , I know it!

There is still a chance you miscarry, but the fact that the baby is still viable is a GOOD sign. If your husband wants to try and work things out I really recommend counseling. If you get on Badgercare or any other state help they will pay for it. Just call the counselor in advance.

PS That scares me about getting pregnant on Mirena! I have the same thing and I am SO scared of getting pregnant again. I already have 3! God must have a plan for you and that baby……
God i never understood why people cheat on each other
its so heartbreaking.. I want to just punch every cheater in the face they dont understand the lives they ruin. Its so cruel!
Anyway…. The baby should be perfectly fine, because fetus’s arent really affected by birth control hormones. There is a possibility of miscarriage always.. but everyday you go through the chance goes down.
But you need to ask yourself, do you really want to be with this man?
Yes, it is possible to miscarry….. and yes, Mirena does not work for everyone. What did your doctor say about the baby? Please ask him. I’m sure everything will be all right. Now that the Mirena is removed, things should be ok.
You are in my thoughts, especially with the situation with your husband.
