Question about genital warts?
So my husband and i have been together for 7 years now suppositly faithful to each other. Just in the last 2 years I’d say he developed genital warts. I do not have warts and never did. Two questions A.) Does this mean I have HPV now because I’ve slept with him? B.) Could he have carried this virus from before we got together 7 years ago and just got symptoms now? Or would he had to have cheated?

A) Chances are really high that you have HPV. But dont forget, HPV is the same virus that causes a simple wart on one’s hand. Therefore, if you come into contact with a simple wart, you dont necessarily develop one, but the virus is definetely transferred. Genital warts are just another strain of HPV that carry the same characteristics. Highly contagious but i think only 1/100 HPV infected persons develop a wart actually! And i have read it somewhere that many sexually active people develop a genital wart sometime in their life. I am not saying be irresponsible and spread the "HPV". You should as a woman get checked for now because genital warts can lead to unwanted illnesses especially in women.
B) You have to talk to him about this, if he cheated on you or not. But chances are high that he carried it long before, the virus lays dormant and in some persons as i mentioned doesnt even show itself. Dont be surprised if his warts go away and never show up again, or show up in a month, or after another 7 or more years!
you chance of getting HPV is a great chance now because you have been exposed to the virus and no they dont stay dorment so i think you need to talk to your doctor and tell the cheating husband to get out!!
It’s possible you or your spouse were exposed prior to marraige because HPV can stay dormant for years. All warts are HPV, but not all strains of HPV will cause warts. You can have the warts removed/burned off at the OBGYN. This is no garantee they won’t come back. Have your GYNO add HPV testing to your pap this year. You may also look into discussing the new Gardasil vaccine to protect you and your children from the strains of HPV that can cause cervical cancer.
honey kick his a$$ to the curb and get tested
Your husband needs to get tested. Your chance of getting HPV is greater. The possibility that he carried the virus and contracted it from someone is 99.9% and it was dormant and now it is showing up as active. My suggestion is both of you talk about your sexual history. The most important part of being married is communication and you have the right to know.
Get yourself checked. Warts are a skin infection caused by HPV viruses .Usually they disappear after a few months.Salicylic acid is used to remove warts by either applying an adhesive pad soaked in salicylic acid or directly applying the salicylic acid solution to the affected area.More details and remedies at the link below.
As far as I see it, warts are a grave skin problem, and the various dangers are usually underestimated. I believe thorough treatment is necessary, better as quick as possible! Way too often the mayority of people are too ashamed, I assume, and do not undergo proper treatment soon enough. If you suffer from warts or other skin disorders, better take care of them fast!
Get rid of it as soon as possible and see a doctor.
