Did he cheat on my mom or is there another way this could have happened?
I am writing this in regards to my mom’s situation. For about 6 months now, my mom’s husband (which is my stepfather) has been unusually distant. He stays in their bedroom on the computer from the minute he is done eating dinner until my mom goes to bed and then he comes out from the bedroom. There is a big difference in how he treats my mom too.
Anyways, my question is that my mom and him have sex about every two months and lately he has not been pushing the issue. Last weekend, after taking his shower, he gets into bed and my mom told me that she told him that they can have sex if he wants to. So they did. The next morning she noticed a strange odor coming from her vagina but thought it may have been the KY that was used and really thought nothing more of it UNTIL the next morning after that, the same smell was there (it was a strong fishy smell with discharge) and so she called her Dr. and made an appt.
She had her appt. today. The Dr. said it was NO way near the symptoms of a bladder infection nor a yeast infection. She sent the samples that she took to the lab for gonorrhea and chlamydia check and said it certainly looks suspicious.
My question is, my stepfather swears up and down that he did not cheat but his actions (to me) prove otherwise. While my mom was at the Dr’s, he came in my room and ask me if she had heard anything yet. He came in my room like FIVE times and acted really worried about it AND to top that off, when I got the phone call from my mom, he started biting his nails all nervously. It was like he had guilt written ALL over his face.
So I ask you, if it turns out that the results for my mom’s STD test is positive, it is MOST LIKELY that he cheated, right? (My mom is not even a suspect or whatever b/c she would never cheat).
Or is there a possible way that she got an STD through some other way?
I just KNOW he cheated, I can feel it and so can she, and it makes us both hurt and angry. Any opinions are appreciated!
Wow, some people can be SO rude! I do NOT have an unusual relationship nor weird one with my mother. Me and her are VERY close and really, she has no one else to talk to! I can tell my mother ANYTHING and she can do the same. She needed someone to talk to you and I was there for a shoulder to lean on. What is SO wrong with THAT? Every relationship between a mother and daughter is different, just remember that before you post that I have a weird/abnormal/etc. relationship with my mother. I feel blessed to have a mother that I can talk to ANYTHING about. After all, THAT is how all mothers should be and it’s not my fault that some people do NOT have that with their own mothers. if it comes back positive for an STD than if she isn’t cheating, than he has been. listen to your intuition it never lies.
I think you are WAY too involved in your mom’s sex life.
If your mother has an STD than it is a 99% probability that either he cheated, or she did.
My main concern is why is she sharing all this with you, her daughter? I’m really close to my Mom and I highly doubt her or I would be discussing foul smelling vaginal discharge together…

I think this is between your mom and step dad. He does sound guilty but that’s not proof. However, if he has given her an STD, that’s a pretty clear indication that he has cheated.
I think it’s odd that you know so much about your mom’s sex life. Most mothers keep that information private.
Try to be supportive of your mom. Other than that, there’s not much you can do.

If your mom tests positive and she has had no other sexual partners, then she certainly caught it from your stepfather and he certainly caught it sexually from some one…
first of all - your involvement in your mom’s sex life is so weird that it kinda makes me nauseated….
secondly - of course he cheated if gave her an STD.
thirdly — don’t you have your own sex life? Whats next? Are you going to be having sex with them?
You and your mom must have an unusual relationship, because you know WAY too much about her sex life….
She won’t believe you if you do say he’s cheating. She won’t believe anything until she is ready to see the signals….so you might as well just stay out of it.
These are all signs of a CHEATING GUY! He is the one that cheated and if you can get to that computer I am sure you will find exactly what you need to see! Your mom should head for the door and not look back!!

It’s quite possible she got an STD by cheating on him.. That might explain why he’s avoiding her.
Seriously - your mom’s sex life is none of your business, and neither is the issue of whether or not one of them committed an infidelity.
A condition nicknamed "Trich", could be your mom’s problem. How women becomes "Trich" positive is unknown. Some believe women could be born with it, some say it could be passed on from sex. It can appear out of nowhere. It basically is a disruption in the normal body flora. A strong fishy smell after sexual intercourse is one of the main symptoms. Antibiotics can clear it up, remember it’s not always sexually transmitted, and can appear at anytime. So saying your step father was cheating based on a "Trich" diagnosis would not hold water. Where as a gonorrhea or chlamydia would….because unless you had sex with an infected person, it’s the ONLY way these 2 disease’s.
There is only ONE way to get STD. That would of course be thru cheating. I have an idea of what it is she has, because my ex cheated on me, & gave me the SAME THING!!! Of course I KNEW he cheated on me w/MANY different females, so I have NO CLUE where he would have gotten it. IF she does have an STD, they BOTH w/have to be "treated" or it’s just going to go back & forth until it’s COMPLETELY gone & cleared up on BOTH of them. Your "father" IS definitely acting mighty "nervous" & his actions are pretty much giving off the indication that he IS in fact "guilty". There is only ONE WAY to transmit STD, & your "father" is going to have some serious explaining to do. He also should have know better not to have at least had "safe sex". Whoever it is, is just going to pass it on from one man to another & another until she gets herself "taken care of" too! She certainly should have been well aware she has this disease! Sure didn’t care a thing about "passing it on" to others tho. She really has to be a "low life person" to say the least! Hope everything turns out OK for ALL involved, but you KNOW you mother is going to be hurt by this whole thing when she finds out what it is, & the Dr. WILL also tell her how she "contracted it" just as mine did to me…Best to you ALL…:)
