Can cheating help a relationship?
First of all, I’m not sayin cheating is good. You shouldn’t do it, okay.
But i was becoming pretty unattached in my relationship and felt like moving on would be a great lift for me. We have our troubles but no major blow ups or anything like that. But I felt like i was such a big part of her life, and didnt see how i could take that away.
For shorter story, (she at U.T. , im in Houston & 26yrs) I thought about the best for both (in a way), i liked a chick and enjoyed my time with her for not knowing her that long. We got ‘together’. Didnt tell my girl. But it made me like her (gf) more. Enjoy our time together more. Appreciate her more. It’s wierd, but we probably wud not have stayed together if not for what i did.
I know i’ll get chicks on here sayin "jerk" and "pig" ect…. but whatev
It was either that, or breakin up, so…
It also made me feel, in a way, like if she did it too, and it helper her with our relationship, it would be ok.

So the acceptable answer would to say that cheating is wrong and blah, blah, blah but I have seen this happen too many times to say it doesn’t help in some cases. I would suggest however not to tell your girl to cheat! lol. Stuff happens and if it never happens again then stay happy with your girlfriend and keep it in your pants from now on. If it happens again though, it will just keep happening. Good luck

No cheating does not help. The reason you are feeling so close to your girlfriend now is probably just guilt you are feeling subconsciously. You need to tell her what you did, and yes it was wrong for you to do it.
Right now you do not deserve her and I believe would have been better off if you were up front and broke up with her first.

but she probably wont, and you did betray her trust, because a relationship is trust between two. so you appreciate her more, but if you tell her, she will love you less.

Since you put it that way cheating can help a relationship if your gf is better than the person you cheated with. It made you appreciate you gf more. I don’t know if it would help if she cheated to because she might feel different after cheating. She might not want to be with you anymore she might think the other man is better.
SURE. That kind of thinking is just as stupid as giving a loaded gun to a convicted criminal. If cheating somehow makes you a better person, you have far too many problems to begin with and should not be dating anyone.
We obviously are not your judges, the only person that has to deal with this scenario is your girl. You can’t have your cake and eat it to. It might seem like it for now, but things have a funny way of surfacing. All I am saying is, don’t do something that you are not prepared to receive. Be a man and tell her the truth, so she can make her own informed decision about your relationship.

cheating doesn’t help a relationship. you may think it helps but it would only help you for a short while. My view is if you want to cheat on the person you are with, theres something wrong with the relationship and your both better off finding someone else. Plus hiding it from her is only going to make it worse. she is going to feel horrible if she finds out, and she is going to feel even worse if she finds out you lied or kept it from her.
