How do relationships tend to go when they start as extramarital affairs?
Does anyone have any general knowledge or statistics on this? I’m wondering just how strong a committed relationship or marriage can be going forward when they began as an extramarital affair. It would seem to me that whether one or both has been deceitful with their own spouses during the affair, they can’t very well trust one another afterward. Also, does not the lingering guilt make the new relationship have a strike against it from the start. I can’t imagine being very happy knowing I’d taken someone away from their family for my own selfish needs. But maybe that’s just me.

Well from what I’ve heard; It is hrd to trust again and if the other person knows,we’ll they may be doing it too. Two cn play this game.In a relationship if u love that person than u would’nt have done it.but if u both r in it bc u guys r comfortable than it’s not a happy relatoinship.So therefore one strays.Some people can live with it knowing tht they got away with it.and inside joke.Knowing u got smething that that person does’nt know.as long as u still love her and committ it can work but it is hard u have too work on trust and honesty and it does’nt happen over nite.

Different people bring out different characteristics in each other.
It is possible that they are just happy with each other, HOWEVER I think cheating in general is a selfish act and eventually that selfishness comes out again.
How an extramarital affairs end up really depends on the specific situation. I have a few friends who are or were involved in extramarital affairs. One of them was married when she started dating this other married guy … now they are both divorced and have been together for 3 years. On the other hand, I have another girlfriend who met a married Sugar Daddy on a married dating website http://www.SeekingArrangement.com … it seems they have fallen in love, but he said he would never leave his wife — and as such, that relationship is headed towards doom.
As for whether it is an ethical thing to do, I’d say one should not judge. There is always a reason why a married person cheats… it could either be because he or she is unhappy, and if so, he or she will cheat no matter what …. or the person is just looking to fill a void in his or her life.
As for where an extramarital affair would go, I would suggest threading with care… and keeping the relationship casual … i.e., don’t get too emotionally attached.
Trust is relative. Sometimes there is an open arrangement, so no one really has to feel violated if an affair happens. If that’s the case, then why would it be difficult to keep the relationship going? On the other hand, if one person wants monogamy and the other doesn’t, then that would be a problem. Best to know the other’s point of view before starting something that may lead to an ongoing thing. Some people just get bored and want sex. Thats ok, if it ok with all concerned.
Joe, I am totally agree with you that extramarital affairs is cheating….my husband think cybersex is just a fantasy and can’t call cheating. But that is just an excuse for guy and another who try to hide their betray from their spouse. A good healthy relationship bases on a well trust. When a man or woman can’t be trusted. The relationship and marriage is worthless. So don’t just try to seek for fun on the virtual world, no honest people in these Cyb romance world. They are all cheaters and liars. Joe!
