Lost my sex drive after I found my wife cheating?
About eighteen months ago, I found my wife cheating. We’ve been married almost 10 years and have two kids. Although we decided to stay in the marriage, our relationship has not recovered. We do it occassionally, like once a month.
More alarming to me, I could feel that my sex drive is declining. Before the big blowout, I was horny all the time. Now, it would be a miracle if I get a hard-on even watching porn.

Unfortunately if you had to sit down with pen and paper to write down the thoughts that come into your mind about your wife cheating you’d have written a book by the time you finnished. You are only human my friend. It’s these thoughts that go through one’s head that affects being intimate with your wife. Not only does it affect intimacy with your wife but with ANY woman for quite a while. I’ve been where you are and it’s been four years for me. Still there are certain things that I have a problem with because I still feel that it was special between myself and my wife. I still won’t let any woman get too close to me. It’s very difficult to sometimes get past that betrayal. I did everything I could to help me get through it, but it didn’t help. I can only tell you that time will take care of certain issues but I also understand you anxiety. It’s a difficult thing to get past one’s spouse being intimate with someone else because our minds have a tendency to think about the two of them together and what they were doing. Maybe you need a break from the intimacy of a relationship and to be able to get your head together. I feel for you my friend..I’ve been there and know what you are going through. i think thats a normal reaction. my husband cheated and i dont know if i can be physically close to him again, before that we used to do it every day at least 3 times. i couldnt get my hands of him and had a strong sex drive, well thats ruined, somehow that "lower" part of my body is numb and it is affected by his actions.
you and your wife have been married for 1o years and you found out that she has cheated on you have two kids together and stayed married for the sake of the kids is this what your telling me. your sex drive seems to have gone down hill its probably has to do with trust you found out that she was with someone else and it hurt. You have gotten over how your really feeling if you for gave her maybe you have not really let go.

That’s harsh. It goes to show that there’s so much more to attraction than physical factors. If someone feels betrayed or hurt, these things can have a huge effect on libido.
