I need your advice on me being a muslim?
So I was speaking to a couple of mates of mine who are muslim, and just learnt more about them which kinda shocked me.
I have been a muslim from birth but with me is I love learning about all religions as much as I can and I appreciate different beliefs and cultures. I believe female and males are equal, and I do not discriminate against anyone whether they are rich, poor, whatever race, age, homosexual etc. I do not judge a muslim person if they fornicate, drink, date etc. However I realised my mates think I am weird and am not muslim. They argue that I am going against my religion just because I respect other religions and do not hate gay people or think they are ‘discusting.’ But the thing is I argue saying I am not here to judge, only God can judge a persons intentions. And if they do something un-Islamic all we can do is offer them advice without judging them and especially if they are adults they know what is right and wrong (well mostly) and because I respect all religions they assume I believe in all of them and that I am a sinner, I don’t see how?
Also I am not a big follower of cultural norms and values because it is mainly patriarchal and it is always about what ‘relatives will think’. For that reason alone my family and I have disagreements and they think I am being un-Islamic and I fail to see how CULTURE (man-made rules) have anything to do with ISLAM..for instance my family believe it is okay for a husband to cheat on his wife, and it is the wife’s duty to ‘maintain the relationship’ which I strongly disagree with, surely in Islam adultry is sinful (not that I am saying the husband who cheats is gonna go hell or whatever)
It is just so confusing, at times I feel I am too open-minded, but I do not think that is a bad thing, I just do not like judging people and condeming them because I feel I have no right to do so after all humans make mistake..
So what would you do?

You shouldnt care. I myself dont care about gays etc,,,i think we as muslims have bigger issues to think about, like the muslim men fornicating and wishin for virgins for marriage, i mean so many muslims are hipocrits, and i think its good you stay real….
