Why do many military spouses cheat while partners are away?
I really hurt to know many military spouses cheat. My BF is military is just thinking about it makes me ill. I constantly talk about him and though he’s deployed right now, we often communicate and even if we are not doing it so, he gets excited when I do and expect my emails.
I know sex might be important, but when you make a stronger emotional connection you don’t need to get laid and can wait.
So, what is the excuse for cheating, is it that they marry so quickly after dating so shortly?

perhaps they marry so quickly or perhaps it’s nothing more than human nature to want to be close to someone when things are bad
they’re not accountable to anybody, and when they get deployed to foreign lands like Korea for instance, those girls are a dime a dozen.
im an army wife. we got married after knowing eachother and dating for 6 months. (we had an instant connection) and neither of us would dream of cheating.
and there is neverrr an excuse for cheating. some guys/girls just cant wait til the deployments/trainings over to get thier rocks off. but the good ones can.
but think of how many non military guys cheat too…
All military spouses don’t cheat!!
When I was a military wife, I never ever cheated and really never thought about cheating. When my military husband was away, it was my chance to go to school and free myself of the stress of being a wife.
I think most people cheat in any relationship (military or not) because they are unhappy with something in their relationship and it could be that they are unhappy with themselves and looking for someone else to make them feel better about themselves. It is definitely a personal choice to cheat or not
There’s no really excuse esp.if they do it because they think their spouse will not know.Sometimes they call it a fling with no emotions involved.There are men and women who are not meant to stay faithful in a long distance relationships. Only those whose love to their special someone is greater than their lust can overcome the effect of separation.
Apparently this fiasco that’s occurring and IED’s, soldier suicide and combat injuries both from the enemy and accidental haven’t entered your mind.
In the meantime…this is what happens when you mix male soldiers with female soldiers.

Deployments are stressful.
It’s nice to know that you have someone waiting for you when you get back home.
And because of that basic need of wanting to feel wanted, people get married without really being in love or even knowing each other.
Then when the stress of being apart gets to one or both, and the arguments become more common than a civil conversation, that’s usually when one or both seek friendships with the opposite sex, that leads to extra marital affairs.
And some people marry strictly as a convenience; the enlisted person can live off base and get more money than a single person.
And the spouse gets medical, dental, and vision care fairly cheap.
