Could you forgive a cheating spouse with amnesia?
I just saw an episode of Law & Order, where the wife’s attacker was the man she was cheating on her husband with. From the attack, she lost the baby she was pregnant with (which was not from her husband, but the cheating man), and from the attack she has amnesia, meaning she doesn’t remember any of it, even the pregnancy.
At the end, the husband took his daughter away from her to get a divorce, and the wife didn’t understand why he wasn’t speaking to her or why he didn’t love her anymore.
My question is, could you forgive a cheating spouse who had no memory of doing so after it happened? I mean, you could start over, but then again they did cheat on you, whether they remember it or not…

No, because at the time of the cheating, the spouse made a conscious CHOICE to betray me. A knock on the head doesn’t change the fact that they didn’t give a rat’s azz about me or our vows.

I would forgive and forget, because they obviously did. If you married that person because you loved them, then you could forgive them the same way. It wouldn’t be right to just dump someone like that
out on the street without them knowing why or what went wrong.
No if she truly had amnesia she would not even know who her husband was, plus she will remember eventually, as amnesia is not always permanent.
See the movie "Regarding Henry." It stars Harrison Ford. It’s an early 90’s movie but, it may give you a different take on a very similar storyline.
Truth is, depending on severity of amnesia, the person with it may not like who they were before and may not be the same person afterward.
