my dad came home at like 9 yesterday then went to the gym at 11 30.
ive noticed hes been going to the gym more often.
i also heard one of the first signs a man is cheating on his wife is that
he goes to the gym more.
i think that’s bullshit.
but whatever.
also, i was at a store in line one day and my dad was standing next to me but then i turned around and i saw him walking away with some girl.
she had her arm wrapped around his lower back.
i also saw her come in the mall talking to my dad before this happened.
my dad has also been very moody and grumpy lately.
when i asked him to tell my mom something for me his response was "no I’m not talking to her at all today"
they’ve been separated before.
hes been accused of cheating before.
my mom always says things like "yeah so you can go back to her like before"
do you think he could be cheating on my mom?
im 14 and i know i shouldnt be involved with their relationship but its hard when theyre always coming to me gossiping about the other.
how do you find out if hes cheating?
ways other than hiring a spy.

You’re not old enough to deal with this. Talk to a teacher at school, or a minister and get some help. What your parents are doing is not fair to you. Bluntly, they’re not acting grown up.
Tell them you don’t want to hear about the gossiping, they’re your parents. Show them on a piece of paper how old they are, how old you are, what the difference is, and why if its bigger than 12, its none of your beeswax.

You know, between you hating your mom, and your dad hating your mom, it sounds like your mom could use some love, kindness and maybe just a tiny bit of respect from you and your sister. As soon as she is comforted, maybe your mom will take on the ADULT responsibility of finding out for herself if he’s cheating or not. It’s not your business or responsibility to police your dad (although it may feel like it’s your business). Chances are that if you two children notice his devious behavior, then for sure your mom knows what’s really going on. She’s either in denial, or it may just hurt too much to let on.
You can also arrange to have dinner out with your sis and your dad, then maybe you girls can share your observations with your dad, and ask him straight out (dad, are you having a relationship outside of your marriage?).
If you need a good excuse for bringing it up to him, tell him that affairs can be physically dangerous and it exposes your family to possible "fatal attraction" types. Or not…
